Protection of Personal Data – Statement

GMG Diagnostics (hereinafter “GMG”) is committed to respecting and protecting the privacy of your data. This statement of privacy informs you how GMG handles your data after it is collected on GMG websites (www.gmg.gr and www.gmg-group.gr) and how this data is processed. We also explain how you can influence the collection and use of your personal information.

If you submit personal data on to us, you can be sure that this information is used solely to maintain your relationship with GMG in one of the ways set out in this statement.

2. Collection, use and processing of data

2.1 Notes on log files when visiting websites

When you visit our GMG Diagnostics websites, the default is that the information transmitted by your Internet provider (e.g. the domains from which you are accessing the GMG Diagnostics websites, your IP address, the operating system, the device you use to connect, date and time, browser type, language and configurations, hyperlinks followed within GMG Diagnostics websites and your activities on these websites is collected automatically to enable technical operation of the websites and better responsiveness. This information is recorded in the form of log files.

2.2 Use and processing

Your personal data will be used solely for the purposes of relationship with you or for other purposes mentioned on the GMG Diagnostics websites or for any other stated purpose (e.g. information about our products and services, etc.). GMG Diagnostics has taken appropriate technical and organizational measures, such as the use of encryption when transmitting data (TLS), the use of encryption on stored data (file-system encryption), firewall to keep your data secure and protected from access by unauthorized third parties.

In addition to the above, GMG Diagnostics maintains a fully developed quality assurance system, according to the requirements ISO / ICE 27001 – 2013.

3. Disclosure of data to service providers

It may be necessary to transfer personal data to GMG’s service providers so that they can provide services for [COMPANY NAME]. This includes, but is not limited to, answering your questions about products and services. All service providers are subject to the applicable GMG data protection provisions. Our service providers are all based in the EU and UK.

4. Cookies

GMG’s websites use cookies for security reasons and statistical reasons. Cookies are small text files created by gmg.gr or other sources (such as Google and YouTube), and they are embedded on your computer. Cookies may contain personal preferences, meta-data and technical information as well as you IP address. If you do not accept the use of cookies, you can change your browser settings so that it does not accept cookies, knowing that you will most probably feel no difference or access limitation during your browsing.

5. Newsletter

You can subscribe to various newsletters via GMG websites. You will only receive these newsletters if you have given your explicit consent.

In some newsletters our service provider uses tracking technologies to analyze how effective the newsletters are. The only information collected for statistical analysis, is your email address but it is not anonymized. Your email address is combined with the tracking record, to determine open-rates and clicked links. Due to the service provider’s tracking technologies the user has no option to interact without tracking. The IP addresses of the newsletter recipients is also available to the service provider.

Your rights as data subject: Your consent may be withdrawn at any time by sending an email with the subject “Unsubscribe” to dataprivacy@gmg.gr.

Additionally, a link to unsubscribe from future email advertisements is contained in each newsletter sent. You can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time.

6. Accessing, changing and deleting data

You can view, correct and delete the personal data you entered on GMG at any time. You have also the right to object to the continued use of this data and to withdraw the consent you have given us. To do so, simply sent an email to dataprivacy@gmg.gr or contact the data protection officer (see section 1).

Rights of the data subject pursuant to the EU-GDPR

For the processing of your personal data, you are the data subject as defined in the European General Data Protection Regulation (EU GDPR 2016/679) and you have certain rights with respect to the responsible controller.

7. Links to third-party websites

GMG’s websites may contain links to other websites. If you follow these links, you will leave the GMG’s websites and also the scope of this privacy policy, which does not cover other websites. GMG cannot assume any responsibility whatsoever, neither for the content, nor for the privacy policy; moreover GMG cannot ensure the safety of your browsing in such third-party websites.

8. Contact form and email traffic

A contact form (www.gmg.gr/contact) is available on GMG’s websites for general contact purposes. The personal data you enter on the form are the minimum required (only a name and an email address) for contacting purposes and they are stored on GMG’s contractual web hosting provider. Alternatively, it is also possible to contact us by email at info@gmg.gr. In this case, the personal data you send by email will be stored on our cloud email server, hosted by our contractual cloud hosting provider.

9. Storage period of personal data

Your personal data will only be stored by GMG (and, if applicable, by its contractual service providers) for as long as allowed, in particular as long as the data is required for the agreed purpose or for compliance with legal obligations. When the purpose of the processing no longer exists, the data is erased.

10.  Changes to the statement of privacy

GMG serves the right to change this statement at any time. We would therefore ask that you check the Privacy Policy regularly. If substantial changes are made, a notification to that effect will be published on our homepage. We inform registered users and customers by email about significant changes to this statement of privacy.
